Why Sober Events Are Essential

Sober events provide a crucial lifeline for those recovering from alcohol and drug addiction, offering more than just safe spaces—they foster lasting sobriety and integrate individuals into a welcoming community.

This importance is perfectly showcased by our upcoming "Sober Not Boring" kickoff event on May 3rd.

Expanding Recovery Support

Recovery meetings are just the beginning; real recovery rebuilds a fulfilling life through enjoyable, substance-free activities. Our "Sober Not Boring" series, which begins with a fun-filled BBQ and backyard games tournament, offers a variety of engaging events that encourage socializing, skill-building, and personal growth in a supportive setting. This approach helps individuals in recovery from both alcohol and drug addictions find joy and connection without substances.

Psychological and Community Benefits

Playing and laughing have serious benefits for mental health, helping to reduce stress and improve emotional well-being.

At our inaugural event, attendees can enjoy these benefits through spirited games and a community BBQ. Including the broader community in these events reduces stigma around recovery and fosters a culture of support and acceptance.

The Inaugural Kickoff Event

Mark your calendars for the first "Sober Not Boring" event on May 3rd at the New Hope Church of God, located at 9840 Belding Rd, Belding, MI. We'll kick things off at 5:30 PM with a tasty BBQ, followed by a backyard games tournament starting at 6:00 PM. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends, enjoy delicious food, and have a great time—all in a supportive environment.

"Sober Not Boring" events are about celebrating life and the many joys of sobriety.

They bridge the gap between recovery communities and the broader public, enhancing the recovery journey with understanding, support, and a lot of fun.

Thanks For Your Support!
